P.O. Box 66, Bright Vic 3741

The Bright Singers were formed in 1993 following an arts initiative by then Shire of Bright.

Our aim is to encourage those who enjoy singing to come and take part, learn and improve their singing ability. We also entertain the public and take part, where practical, in community events.

We are a small group who enjoy singing in harmony and welcome new members at any time throughout our singing year.

We don't mind if you are soprano, alto, tenor or bass, or unsure as to your voice range, or if you are unable to read music. Once you come along, our Musical Director will guide you as to voice range and help you to learn our pieces.

Rehearsals are held every Tuesday at 7.30pm in the Bright Art Gallery . The fees for 2006/7 are $40 per annum for adults and $20 for juniors, payable on joining (after a trial period). In addition, there are weekly contributions of $4 for adults and $2 for juniors.

The choir performs a series of concerts during Bright's Autumn Festival. We also perform Christmas Concerts and other performances throughout the year that our Committee of Management arranges.

Bright Singers sing a wide variety of music from Christmas carols to jazz, classical and show music. This is chosen in consultation with the Musical Director and committee. Choir members are asked to contribute suggestions for our concert programs.

Bright Singers will be performing other concerts towards Christmas, so watch the noticeboards around town for details.

Bright Singers will be performing Autumn Festival Concerts 2008 - watch this space for dates.

All new singers are welcome to come and try before joining the choir.

We have fun each rehearsal and share supper the last Tuesday of each month.
